How NOT To Get Six Pack Abs

Before you start your quest to get six pack abs you need to understand what it really takes to build a beach body type mid section. The first step is exposing all of the garbage that you have been fed when it comes on how to get ripped abs.

With so much hype being thrown at you by so called fitness gurus you should be skeptical about all of the ab programs and ab equipment. Lets get right into it and cut through the top four ways not to get six pack abs:

  1. You do not need worthless ab equipment being promoted through crazy infomercials. How many pieces of ab equipment needs to come out before we all stop buying the stuff? There are so many of these pieces of junk available and yet some how people spend $210 million dollars a year just on ab equipment alone.
  2. Doing hundreds of ab crunches a day is not the way to go. Crunches are ok but are way overused and people are told that doing more is better. A crunch is a very basic ab workout and with it you are going to get basic results. Doing crunches too much will shorten the ab wall, it pulls your head forward and promotes poor form. It also does not stimulate the muscle fiber to get your abs working.
  3. Starving yourself is not a way to get six pack abs. Your muscles need food to fuel your muscles. If you starve your body your metabolism starts to shut down and this leads to the storage of fat. The body needs energy some the only other place it can get it from is your muscles. Hopefully you see that starving your body is horrible.
  4. Fat burning pills do not work. Did you have success with the last weight loss pill? You didn’t? So what makes you think the next one is going to change anything? This crazy trend of taking pills to “blast fat away” is built on a shaky foundation because they only treat symptoms and do not attack the root cause. Instead you need to focus on the root problems of a fat mid section, like meal plans, a new lifestyle and proper exercise will only put you right back to where you started. Farther and farther away from having six pack abs.

Knowing these four myths about trying to get a six pack abs will put you that much farther ahead of your friends and other people in the gym who are trying to get washboard abs. Now you only need to research a ab workout program for men that does not promote any of the four myths above.
